Over the past few months, the team at Altitude have been working hard to support another type of guest in accommodation, students.  Long stay domestic or international students are tech savvy and are comfortable making the most of digital solutions to compliment their experience. With that said, we are now excited to launch our Student App!

Altitude’s Student App streamlines the pre-arrival registration process for students, ensures accurate information is received and easily updated, while students are well oriented with the local area, and their general wellbeing is supported. 

Altitude integrates with your property management system and door locks to receive real-time information in a fully-customised downloadable app.  In this blog, we take a look at the exciting features and benefits students and staff will be able to enjoy when using the Student App. 

Pre-Arrival

Altitude’s Student App automates the pre-arrival documentation and procedures for arriving students.  This automation reduces manual overheads for staff, minimising both staffing costs and reducing hidden expenses like stationary and printing.  Providing a smooth and efficient arrival process for students is paramount for organising pre-arrival requirements like billing, ID and contact points prior to arrival.  Everything is ready for the student to move into their new home away from home.

With features like surveys, push notifications and reporting, operators can opt to gather direct feedback from their students about their wellbeing and experience.  Integrated door locks and property management systems also allow Altitude to generate reports with alerts around room access and in-room sensor activity, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all students.

Need a local doctor? Not sure where the best restaurants are in town?  In-app directories and compendiums allow students to check out the local area and get their bearings as they arrive.  It is often hard to know the tips and tricks for a new area and with recommendations already loaded, students can view and head off to check out the city.

Mobile Keys

By enabling mobile keys through Altitude’s Student App, properties can instantly cut down on lost keys, as well as mitigate any unauthorised property access or sub-letting.  By encouraging students to make use of mobile keys on their phone, students have all they need in the palm of their hand.
